Collection: Alma Divina Collection

With loss comes the process of working through grief and navigating what life will look like without one of the most internal figures in your life. It has been almost two years since the loss of my Nana, Maria Navarro. To this day, I have a hard time thinking of life without her. To me, she wasn't just my Nana, she was so much more than that. My best friend, a confidant and someone who loved me unconditionally despite my faults. The purest of souls who emulated what the word LOVE means. 

Anyone who got the pleasure of meeting my Nana was instantly met with love and usually some form of home cooked Costa Rican dish. Her beautiful spirit shined brighter than anyones I have ever met and her radiance still shines through till this day.

The world got a little dimmer the day we lost her. I've struggled with my grief and needed an outlet to channel it. ALMA DIVINA is just that. My hope with this new line is to reignite that light my Nana shined on the world. Alma Divina directly translated as Divine Soul is my way of captivating her essence through art & jewelry. Every piece was designed with HER in mind, down to the very stones. Tourmaline is a main theme in this line because it is my grandma's birthstone; the modern October birthstone, loved for its breathtaking beauty and awe-inspiring variations. Tourmaline, in all its colors, symbolizes protection, optimism, renewal, courage, and grounding. You will notice a special blend of purples and pinks as focal stone colors because purple was HER favorite color. The names of each piece are dedicated to special things she would say to me or words and phrases that spark continued thoughts of her.

 

My wish is to continue to tell her story & spread the love and light that she gave to everyone she ever came across. She embodied what I strive to be in my everyday life and she has left an imprint on the hearts of everyone that knew her.
